These items will allow you to outrange any shotgun or full auto weapon user in the game, assuming you can hit enough headshots. They will also massively increase your damage against jungle monsters and lane creeps, making it easier to farm.
Buy Healing Rite if it can prevent you from going back to base, Extra Stamina if you have trouble getting away or you're getting outflanked, Extra Regen if you are getting poked down or Extra Health if you're facing a lot of burst damage. The only items you will keep in the lategame is going to be Extra Stamina and Sprint Boots. Sell the rest if you need the slots.

Eventually you should end up with all of these. Enduring speed, Spirit Lifesteal and Soul Shredder bullets are invaluable for clearing jungle and the spirit items are part of your lategame core kit. Healing Booster is a new item that does what old Leech did, just less in a smaller package. It's a lot more easily available, but it costs you an extra slot.

Once you have these you will be nearly impossible to push into as long as you have fully upgraded and imbued your first spell. Once you have a fully upgraded Malice, you will rake those shards across any invaders every 2 seconds and deal massive scaling damage.

Vs any enemy with escapes. Superior Stamina is just a good pickup to get around the map, too and heroes who rely too much on their escapes can be caught up to by just having more stamina than them. Slowing Hex will prevent them from using gap closers, teleports or any other movement based abilities. Silence Glyph will prevent them from using spells outright. Curse shuts them down completely for a time.

Debuff Remover clears all debuffs like Infernus burns and Bebop bombs and counter those heroes hard. Metal skin can really save you against things like a Haze ultimate or Abrams melee. Unstoppable makes you immune to all negative debuffs, but not all their damage. Ethereal Shift is one of the best items in the game and can make enemies waste so many spells if timed correctly. These items are very situational, but try to build at least one of these.

If you feel confident landing consistent headshots, get Headhunter. Warp Stone for extra mobility and a bit of bullet resist. Alchemical Fire if you have a Dynamo and want to really make sure everyone caught dies painfully. The only reason you don't build Bullet and Spirit Armor every game is because you have limited green slots. Reactive Barrier if the enemy has a lot of stuns. Knockdown vs enemies who have long channeled ults like Seven or Haze. Superior Duration for longer silence on a fully upgraded second ability and over 100% uptime on your toxic mess. A bit memey, but strong in the right situations.

Escalating Exposure is going to keep stacking spirit amp with your toxic mess and is probably going to be the single biggest upgrade you will get on this character. Boundless Spirit, Leech and Mystic Reverb can be taken in any order afterwards based on your needs. Boundless to win more, Mystic Reverb if you need more slows to hold those pesky assassins in place and Leech if you need to survive longer in fights.
