At the very start of the game people can get out of the slam pretty easy so I usually wait to go for dives if they push in, once you get the early items it's way easier to hit it, after lane it's pretty much free rein, look for big team fights tho if you can, lashes ult is a game winner. You may notice the lack of gun items, this is purely personal preference, I enjoy burst damage too much to worry about the gun, but if you like it I have a section with gun items that I've tried before. As far as the strat for gun lash goes I can't really say... I mean... shoot them with the gun? Anyway, have fun blowing people up :)
