Deadlock developers released a patch, rolled it back, and returned the Trophy Collector change
Deadlock received a small but noticeable update focused on Trophy Collector. The patch first appeared with several changes to the item, then the developers temporarily rolled the update back. Around 40 minutes later, the change returned again, but in a shorter form.
What changed in Trophy Collector
The first version of the update listed several Trophy Collector changes:
- Trophy Collector now has -15% Weapon Damage vs NPCs;
- souls per minute were reduced from 18 to 16;
- maximum stacks were increased from 16 to 18.
The main change was the new downside for Trophy Collector: the item now reduces weapon damage against NPCs by 15%.
Deadlock developers temporarily rolled back the update
Shortly after the patch went live, one of the Deadlock developers posted a message in Discord:
“Rolling back the update temporarily, sorry about that.”
This meant that the update was not fully cancelled. The wording clearly pointed to a temporary rollback, not a permanent removal of the patch.

The Trophy Collector change returned later
After roughly 40 minutes, the situation changed again. The update returned, but only the key Trophy Collector change remained confirmed:
- Trophy Collector: now has -15% Weapon Damage vs NPCs.
This means Trophy Collector now has a clear drawback when dealing weapon damage to NPCs.
Boundless Spirit icon was also updated
Alongside the Trophy Collector change, the developers also updated the Boundless Spirit icon. The item has already received icon changes before, so this became another small visual update noticed by players.
Final result of the Deadlock patch
In the end, the short sequence of patch release, rollback, and return led to one confirmed gameplay change: Trophy Collector now has -15% Weapon Damage vs NPCs.
The earlier changes to souls per minute and maximum stacks were part of the first version of the patch, but after the temporary rollback and return, the confirmed change is the new NPC damage penalty for Trophy Collector.
