You can typically pick between either or and any of these categories
1. While in any state of being airborne you can punch your barrel causing it to instantly explode. Examples of being airborne jumping, falling, jump pad.
2. You do not have to fully use your jump pad if you do a dash in the beginning frames you can instantly proc the explosion this is useful to know as you can do this maneuver baiting enemies into launching themselves away while you turn around and run.
